Apple Carplay y Android Auto vendrán integrados en los nuevos BMW y Mini

Los nuevos vehículos BMW y Mini llevarán integrado en su sistema Apple Carplay y Google Android Auto. Hasta ahora se habían mostrado recelosos a utilizar sistemas creados por terceros ya que no querían que la privacidad del cliente se vulnerara, pero parece que han encontrado una solución.

Con el actual sistema propio como el iDrive, BMW puede controlar la seguridad de los datos personales, pero al utilizar aplicaciones por terceros dejan una puerta abierta a las posibles vulnerabilidades, por lo que se tiene que vigilar mucho la seguridad del sistema.

“Queremos que nuestros clientes sean capaces de hacer un uso completo de las características de su teléfono inteligente en el coche también. Por lo tanto, vamos a integrar carplay de Apple y Google Android Auto en nuestros vehículos”, comunicaba Harold Krüger, CEO de BMW.

Eso sí, todavía falta por conocer qué medidas de seguridad van a aplicar para poder garantizar la integridad de su sistema.

Los sistemas Apple Carplay y Google Android Auto permiten integrar el Smartphone con nuestro vehículo de forma que podamos acceder a los contactos, música, navegador y aplicaciones como Facebook, Twitter y Whatsapp desde la pantalla del salpicadero. Además, éstas se podrán controlar desde la pantalla táctil, los mandos del volante e incluso con comandos de voz.
